Cooperative Admissions Examination (COOP) Practice Exam

The College of Engineering and Applied Science often prioritizes hands-on experience along with academic learning, making the Cooperative Education Program a standard requirement for graduation. This program allows students to gain practical work experience related to their field of study, enhancing their education with real-world applications.

The integration of co-op experiences aims to strengthen the competencies required in engineering roles, such as problem-solving skills, teamwork, and technical proficiency. Engagement in actual work settings enables students to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom, fostering a deeper understanding of their discipline.

In contrast, while other colleges may offer co-op programs or internships as optional or supplementary experiences, they do not typically mandate participation in such programs for graduation requirements. This distinction emphasizes the unique approach of the College of Engineering and Applied Science in preparing students for their future careers.
